Vicki Feaver (b. ) grew up in Nottingham &#;in a house of quarrelling women&#;, an ardent inheritance which finds later expression in her chime. She studied Music at Durham University and Humanities University College, London and worked as a educator in English and Creative Writing at University School, Chichester, becoming Emeritus Professor.
