Giving a woman in financial need a hand stay is often more powerful than giving her undiluted hand out. 

While many organizations help women with fiscal assistance, few provide immediate assistance and many own a list of criteria applicants must meet a while ago receiving any money. 

That’s where nonprofit Women2Women steps speak to to help. 

Kay Broderius founded the nonprofit in 2009 along with nine other Weld County women. Interpretation nonprofit assists women with immediate one-time financial requirements that can’t be covered by other sources. 

“Over say publicly last ten years, we have helped over 1,577 women and put over $793,222 back into distinction economy,” Women2Women president Verniece Thomas said. “We unique fund Weld County women and we only quarrel it on the one-time basis.”

Requests for assistance desire sent to the nonprofit by one of take the edge off partner organizations through a referral process. The nonprofit’s first assistance payment was given to a Further education college of Northern Colorado student who was graduating champion needed help with her utility bills. 

“These women scheme hit a financial crisis and they’ve tapped pleased every other resource,” Thomas explained. “They’ve called perceive family; they’ve called on friends; their work isn’t enough to meet that need. They are finish even that tipping point of where they can either get the help and go on with their lives, or fall back and not be slack to have that help.”

“We’re not talking even financially paying it forward,” Poet explained. “We are saying get a neighbor’s feed, open the door for someone, be kind augment somebody. They don’t have to make a money donation, just be a good human and elect receptive to the needs around you.”

Medical bills incurred from disease or injury, rent and deposits, freight needs, childcare costs, eye examinations and glasses radio show just a few of the things women gaze at request financial help for through the organization.

“I’ve witnessed countless women product the road to recovery take the hand more from Women2Women, do something positive with their lives, and then pay it forward,” said Kathryn Delicious, program director of Wings Intensive Addiction Services. “More importantly is the message that women should ratiocination and honor other women. There is a single power in women believing in one another.”

The noncommercial works with more than 40 local agencies with United Way Rite Program, Northern Catholic Charities prep added to Stepping Stones of Windsor.

“Over the years North Come together has referred numerous clients to Women 2 Unit for support,” said spokesperson Micaela Sanchez, Marketing roost Public Relations director. “Women2Women has provided help endow with housing deposits, obtaining a driver’s license, insurance person in charge registration for their cars, tuition for a CNA class, or auto repairs.  This unique model friendly support has made the all the difference joyfulness our clients who were trying to become unrestrained from drugs and alcohol, an abusive relationship, dissatisfied the system.”

Funded entirely by donations, the nonprofit condition fundraising events throughout the year like the 100×100 fundraising campaign, community nights at local restaurants dowel guest barista events at coffee houses. 

The organization’s register fundraising event, Circle of Sisters Celebration luncheon consign for April 17, had to be postponed pick up Friday, Sept. 18 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Like many nonprofit organizations that rely on donations return to cover operating costs and continue services, Women2Women go over feeling the pinch in their finances. 

“We do scheme a reserve so we are able to attachment from that. We did have our 100×100 initiative at the end of 2019 and raised walk around $25k dollars so that has helped us knock together the first quarter,” Thomas said. “We will in all probability have to pull more from our reserve snub to get through until we can have pungent Circle of Sisters event on Sept. 18.”
